Member-Get-A-Member

In an ongoing effort to enlarge its membership, the Financial Planning Association provides valuable incentives to members who successfully refer others for FPA membership.  Learn more about FPA’s Member-Get-A-Member program at the FPA’s web site.

Now, FPA-SW supports the national program by adding its own incentives to those provided by the FPA.

Harbor at SunriseWhen you successfully refer a full-fee member (i.e., not a student) to the FPA and the new member chooses to affiliate with the Southern Wisconsin chapter, you will become entitled to a $25 “reward” payable in (a) cash, (b) CE Bucks*, or (c) FPA Ware**.  Your choice.

When you successfully refer a student member to the FPA and the new member affiliates with the Southern Wisconsin chapter, the new member (not you) will receive $10 in CE Bucks.  (We figured the student member could use the reward more than you!)

But that’s not all!   For every new member you successfully refer, including new student members, you will receive one point in our annual “Top Recruiter” contest.   At the end of each year, the Top Recruiter will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Bartalotta restaurant of their choice.

We know you don’t refer new members to the FPA in order to receive financial rewards but in order to help a colleague benefit from belonging to a great professional organization.  Still, those who help us meet our growth goals deserve some small amount of recognition.  After all, there are a lot of professionals eligible to join our organization who have yet to do so.  It’s up to all of us who currently enjoy the benefits of membership to introduce them to the organization.

* CE Bucks are certificates issued by FPA-SW redeemable at face value for credits to the cost of FPA-SW continuing education programs.

** FPA-Ware is clothing and other merchandise sold by the Financial Planning Association.  FPA-SW maintains a catalog of FPA-Ware from which you may select the item of your choice, up to the value of your award.   We’ll order and pay for the item on your behalf and arrange to have it shipped to your address.
